    I sing the body electric
    I celebrate the me yet to come
    I toast to my own reunion
    When I become one with the sun

    And I'll look back on Venus
    I'll look back on Mars
    And I'll burn with the fire of ten million stars
    And in time, and in time we will all be stars

    I sing the body electric
    I glory in the glow of rebirth
    Creating my own tomorrow
    When I shall embody the earth

    And I'll serenade Venus
    I'll serenade Mars
    And I'll burn with the fire of ten million stars

    And in time, and in time we will all be stars

    We are the emperors now and we are the czars
    And in time, and in time we will all be stars

    I sing the body electric
    I celebrate the me yet to come
    I toast to my own reunion
    When I become one with the sun

    And I'll look back on Venus
    I'll look back on Mars
    And they will all burn with the fire of ten million stars
    And in time, and in time we will all be stars
    And in time, and in time we will all be stars

    The man’s body is sacred, and the woman’s body is sacred;
    No matter who it is, it is sacred;
    Is it a slave? Is it one of the dull-faced immigrants just landed on the wharf?
    Each belongs here or anywhere, just as much as the well-off—just as much as you;
    Each has his or her place in the procession.

    (All is a procession;
    The universe is a procession, with measured and beautiful motion.)

    Walt Whitman

    Not long ago, I experienced an image of a salamander looking me in the eye.

    It said, "Salamander comes before snake."

    I remembered this when I was revisiting the link above to the book, The Body Electric, as I read this quote:

    Salamander: energy's seed sleeping interred in the marrow . . .—Octavio Paz
