I sing to my cats and each one has a special song, that I made up, just for him.
I taught myself how to dance to the song "Wild Thing" .
I hate to run out of Mango chutney more than toilet paper. I keep a jar hidden in reserve like a Lush who hides her whiskey bottle
I have a very dear longtime friend who became a mystery writer.
I was the first murder victim in his first novel.
I was unaware of this fact, until on a whim, I thought to look him up after a decade or more had passed with no communication.
I ordered his book and recognized myself right away after the first few pages.
I found a fan website and emailed him what he later told me was the greatest fan mail he ever received.
All I said was this:
Con, you've killed me...
My heroes, growing up, where Clara Barton, Florence Nightingale, Helen Keller, and my Mom.
My cats all have pictures of other cats and wild felines on the wall next to their food dishes to look at, while they eat.
my secret is that I have a toenail that looks like a claw. I call that foot my cloven hoof...
I love to learn but hate to be taiught
One night I was drinking beer alone and felt secure and safe in that moment sitting in the cellar laundryroom talking to myself. Intimate & Safe. This was important to me. I thought to try out the views and ideas I had learned, or rather heard from Aleister Crowley and many other teachers...
My view was that contacting a dead person, and preferably having a conversation with that person, would be something easy to start with, something not so sinister in nature. So I had a name in mind. And with a bit of dark humour and most importantly being myself, because if I were to have someone else in my head I shouldn't try to imitate some grand meister magician of the legends speaking in weird dialects, but to be me as I am right? But how would the conversation even work I thought? I only have one mouth so I would have to let someone else use it when him/her was speaking to me you know..and how the hell I'm gonna do that? I thought it would be just something that you first believe and then try to lean in to it like anything new one is trying...learning via experience. I uttered the words "Hello my friend, would you like to have a conversation?"
